Study of influence of a weak electromagnetic field of  the device LAD on proliferation of cell cultures of normal and malignant origin.

 1.       Multifunctional device “LAD”

 2.       Cell cultures.

 Fibroblasts of lung of human embryo(FLHE) are normal cells with diploid set of chromosomes of 30-40 passage.

 Transplantable cell line of lung carcinoma (А-549), cell morphology of  fibroblast-like type.

Transplantable cell line of uterine carcinoma (НеLа), cell morphology of epithelium-like type.

 Т- lymphoblast-like transplantable cell line (Jurkat), suspension cells of lymphoblast morphology.

3.       Methods of carrying out of the experiment.

Monolayered cell lines cultured, in the IGLA/MEM enviroment + 10% KRS serum, were taken from laboratory glass by versen/chymopsinum solution and placed to penicillin vials, concentration is 20-30 thousand cells/ml, 2 ml to each vial. Suspension cells Jurkat, cultured in the RPMI-1640 enviroment + 2% of fetal serum, were disseminated with concentration 300 thousand cells/ml.

Control cultures were cultured in usual thermostat with temperature +37°C, experimental cultures were cultured in other thermostat, which was placed on device’s antenna. For the third day monolayered cells were taken from laboratory glass by versen/chymopsinum solution and amount of producted cells was counted in the Fuchs-Rosentall camera. Indexes of  the obtained results were expressed in percentage from control group

 4.       Results

 During the first experimental series influence of different modes of device’s working on cells FLHE, А-549 and НеLа was observed.

It was founded, that different modes of device’s working exerted opposite influences on normal and malignant cells, the degree of influence changed in according with sinusoidal law (see Pict.1). Maximal influence on cells was reached with device’s set –45- and –60-, normal and malignant cells oppositely reacted to these modes: with the mode - 45- maximal stimulation of proliferation of normal FLHE cells was observed. The behaviour of malignant cells, НеLa, А-549 and Jurkat was entirely different: with regime – 45 there was maximal suppression of  their growth. The effect of device’s working did not depend on cell’s origin and morphology.

During the second experimental series influence of device’s working on cell cultures with the mode -45- (negative influence on the growth of malignant cells and stimulation of normal ones) was observed. Cell cultures were cultivated for 14 days.

 It was discovered, that suppression of growth of malignant cells remained constant during all period of cultivation (two weeks), whereas stimulation of  proliferation of normall cells decreased by 14 day(see Pict.2).

 The results, obtained during studying of proliferation of cells by means of their direct counting, are completely confirmed in experiments on fixation of activity of respiratory enzymes(MTT Method)
